Why Tynehead families come to Fleetwood
Tynehead and east Fleetwood blend into each other — many of our families who say "we live in Tynehead" actually live on the Fleetwood side of 168 Street, and vice versa. Drop-off is a 6-minute drive on average.
Tynehead and the east edge of Fleetwood are practically the same neighbourhood — the boundary line along 168 Street is administrative more than felt. Most of the families who say "we live in Tynehead" are actually within walking distance of Tynehead Regional Park, on quiet residential streets that hand off into forest trails. We see a lot of weekend faces at the park playground and then again at drop-off Monday morning. Geographically we are about 3 km west — close enough that an after-pickup loop around the park trails is a normal part of many families' Friday afternoon. There is genuinely no closer Licensed Group Child Care that has both a real backyard and the small-group structure we hold.
Where we sit relative to Tynehead
From most Tynehead homes, our centres at 9270 and 9256 163A Street are reachable via 168 Street and 88 Avenue. The drive averages 6 minutes depending on your starting point and traffic. Both buildings are residential-converted homes — small group sizes, real backyards, and a calm pace that contrasts with the institutional feel of bigger commercial centres.
Your morning commute
For Tynehead families commuting east to Langley or south to Cloverdale, our Fleetwood location is on the way. For those heading west or north, it adds 5–8 minutes to the start of the day.
Local context — parks and neighbourhood
Notable Tynehead-area landmarks within a short drive of our centres include Tynehead Regional Park — one of the largest forested parks in Surrey. After-pickup outdoor time often happens at Tynehead Regional Park (immediately adjacent — one of the largest forested parks in Surrey).

What we are not claiming
We are a Fleetwood centre that serves Tynehead families — not a Tynehead centre. Distances and drive times are estimates that depend on your specific home and time of day. Please confirm with your own routing tool before basing decisions on them.
